Business Associations and Chambers of Commerce  [top]
are the most important structures of the private sector in each country because self-help organisations and representations of the local and national business community. But business associations and Chambers often are still weak and need capacity building support. The capacity building support for business associations and chambers is in first of all to enable them to give valuable and regular services to their members. That is why the introduction of our 6-month BDS approach to is one of the priorities of capacity building.

But unfortunately business associations and Chamber often have only very limited  financial resources because of modest membership fees that cannot finance a complete service structure. That is why another priority on policy level would be the introduction of compulsory membership systems with regular income.
